One of the first stages of children’s musical development is acculturation, i.e. the moment of immersing the youngest listeners in culture. This is the time when we provide various musical stimuli in order to develop children’s musical potential through listening.

Let’s Meet on the Musical Trail is a Gordon concert dedicated to children (aged 0-3), during which children and their carers will go on a journey to the world of various melodies, sounds and rhythms. This is a great opportunity to learn the language of music that is closest to the youngest listeners. During the concert, we will follow the traces of music from the boundaries of various cultures to discover unknown paths together and enjoy the richness that making music together gives us.

Gordon concerts are based on the music learning theory of Professor Edwin E. Gordon (University of South Carolina, USA). The aim of this concept is to shape children’s musical language and support their comprehensive development. The meetings are held in a casual, relaxed atmosphere. Children, along with their parents and carers, sit on the floor between the musicians and actively participate in the workshop. The performers establish contact with the audience and encourage them to sing, dance and rhythmise together. We invite the youngest listeners to play and improvise with their own instruments (e.g. favorite rattle, bells, drum, maracas).
